The Frank Harr Board of Directors has decided to postpone our Website Launch Party scheduled for Oct, 11th until a later date.
This year is the 30th anniversary of National Coming Out Day, which is observed on October 11th, and is an annual celebration of coming out, designed by its founders to raise awareness of the LGBTQIA community and to commemorate the liberation movement of those who came (out) before us. In that spirit, the Frank Harr Board had chosen October 11th as the day that we would celebrate the reintroduction of our organization to our friends, neighbors and community members.
However, in light of the damage and upheaval that Hurricane Florence has brought to our region, the Board has decided to postpone this party for another time in order to give the community time to focus on recovery and rebuilding efforts. We look forward to the time when we will find ourselves ready for such a party! Until then, we wish everyone well as our community works to regain its footing.
