Nov 6th, 9th, 13th and 17th – Quilt Wilmington Docent Training

We are actively seeking docents for all venues of our AIDS Awareness Project: Bringing the Quilt to Wilmington. The Quilt has redefined the tradition of quilt-making in response to contemporary circumstances. A memorial, a tool for education and a work of art, the Quilt is a unique creation, an uncommon and uplifting response to the tragic loss of human life. You won’t regret helping others appropriately experience this historic event in Wilmington.

  • The November 6th training will take place at the Hannah Block Community Arts Center from 5 to 7 pm, and November 9th from 2 to 4 pm.
  • The November 13th training will be from 6 to 7 pm at UNCW as Osprey Hall in room Room 1005.
  • The November 17th training will be held at the Frank Harr Offices from 3 to 4 pm, followed by our monthly Third Sunday Potluck.

UNCW and CFCC students please note docents may be eligible for service hour credits. Email us at volunteer@frankharrfoundation.org to find out more and register for the training. We hope you join us!
